DJ Jasmine Siddon celebrates Kendrick Lamar and SZA, bringing business to Birmingham as the American rapper will perform at Villa Park on July 10th as part of his Grand National Tour.

The pair headlined the Super Bowl 59 halftime show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, 9th February. The Super Bowl halftime show is a massive spectacle event for everybody to feast their eyes upon. The superstar is on the long list of famous musicians who have performed at the show alongside the likes of the Weekend, Usher, Rihanna, and Beyonce, just to name a few.

Presented by Live Nation, pgLang, and Top Dawg Entertainment, the tour will take over 13 stadiums across Europe and the United Kingdom in 2025. It will arrive at Glasgow’s Hampden Park on July 8th, with a stop at Villa Park coming two days later. DJ Jasmine Siddon said, “Football clubs are often associated with a specific type of audience, but by hosting music events, Villa Park expands its reach to a more diverse, younger, and potentially more global crowd. I feel that it helps to modernise Villa’s image, making the venue not just a place for football, but also a hub for entertainment.” The tour will then continue to Cardiff’s Principality Stadium on July 19th and London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on July 22nd.

The Grand National Tour will be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans across England because there will be people who might not be interested in football but will visit the stadium to see the worldwide musician perform in front of at least forty thousand plus people at a time. Jasmine Siddon went on to say, “The sound in Villa Park will echo throughout the stadium, which will be filled with thousands of people, and I feel there is a unique buzz that comes with being at a live music event held in such an open space” The Compton born rapper, Kendrick Lamar has a global fanbase which will open the club up to opportunities for new sponsorships and partnerships, boosting the club’s revenue and reputation.

Kendrick Lamar has a huge following and will have an even bigger spotlight on his next performances after going viral at the Super Bowl. Kendrick Lamar has received backlash from NFL fans after ‘a disappointing performance’ during the halftime show, with many fans wanting him to come back stronger than ever.

The American rapper performed his famous song Not Like Us at the Super Bowl, which notably is about another music sensation, Drake. This rivalry first started when Kendrick released this single back on May 4th, 2024. That would have been one of the reasons why it caused a stir among the NFL fans in the stadium.

Caesars Superdome is a massive venue to be performing at, and many fans were left wondering why he didn’t sing some of the old songs that made him so popular in the first place. The Grand National Tour is a fantastic opportunity to get his new music out there while going back to his roots at the same time. English fans have the chance to experience Kendrick Lamar live at Villa Park and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where they will be looking for a lively atmosphere that American fans can be proud of. Jasmine Siddon ended by saying, “I think this event could bring in more attention from American fans. Kendrick Lamar has a huge fanbase in the US who are very loyal. I think avid followers of his could have their interest piqued by his performance at Villa Park. Given the growing popularity of the English Premier League in the United States, this event could act as a bridge for many people in the US to connect with English football.”

The high demand for tickets is evident from the large queues that formed from the presale and general sale. The concert has already sold out at Villa Park in Birmingham, with many fans across the globe demonstrating the popularity of the American superstar.
