Netflix is  set to host a variety of live events across 2025. As of January, Netflix will be the exclusive home of the WWE’s weekly wrestling program. This will be the first time in the show’s history that WWE Raw will be available to stream. Craig Basset from Bedford is a passionate WWE fan who was surprised by the news. He said the “WWE Network offered a more personalised experience with specialised features and live streams if Netflix doesn’t continue to replicate those feature or requires you to pay more for them it would make the move to Netflix feel like a step back”.

Following the boxing match, Netflix will be tested as it continues to focus on more live programming.

Ian Waterhouse, the founder of Live Sport Now (https://www.livesportnow.uk/) said: “They are moving into a space that has some big players in with the likes of Sky Sports and ESPN. That means for Netflix to move into live events on a scale that will generate a loyal fan base the price will go up.”

He went on to say: “Netflix are opening themselves up to a whole new audience with live sport. Amazon, Disney, and Netflix are all essentially the same thing but if Netflix can offer quality live sport that people want to see then actually that may put them to the top of the pile.”
