Luminate Light Show Returns to Coombe Abbey Park for third year
The spectacular after-dark light trail will return to Coventry for a third year.

This festive period Luminate Light Show will be returning to Coombe Abbey Park following the opening weekend last year seeing more than 2,000 people attending. The show will run from the 24th of November till the 2 January 2024, between 4.30 pm and 8 pm.
Within the park’s historic grounds, a one-mile trail suitable for all ages will welcome guests to experience over twenty-three exhibitions. It will feature three different themes including a wild woodland to incorporate the park’s surroundings. This includes a laser projection, a talking tree, and a mirror ball alley. The walk will take around 60-90 minutes to complete. Both the beginning and end of the trail will feature a festive fire pit and a Christmas food market. There will be stewards on hand to provide assistance when needed and to guide guests.

Luminate director, Daniel Maycock has said “The team is working on some new lighting installations and interactive moments for this year and a new route around the gardens and we are very excited about the upcoming opening.” So, it can be expected that this year’s trail will be different and better than any previous year.
The Abbey Artisan Market will also be open during the event, offering hot drinks and food for guests. Christmas hampers and gifts will also be available.
The team behind the Coombe Abbey Hotel, No Ordinary Hospitality Management, has also created a range of events for visitors to enjoy over the Christmas period. This includes a Festive Afternoon Tea with Carols and a Sunday lunch with Santa. Also, on the calendar at Coombe Abbey Hotel will be party nights with Free Radio’s JD where guests can be treated to a three-course meal and a silent disco, with prices starting at £54.95. There will also be Christmas mediaeval banquets hosted throughout the Christmas period as well.
On December 1st and 14th, a Gatsby Ball will be held which channels the roaring 20s and includes a four-course meal with casino tables and live entertainment. Prices are from £69.95.
A series of festive murder mysteries will also be held where guests will attempt to solve a mystery set in Christmas 1946. Scenes of the murder mystery will be played out between courses with the guest who answers the closest will win a prize. The event is suitable for ages 16+, with prices starting from £59.95.

Tickets start from £16.75 per adult, and £12.25 a child, with a discounted family ticket available and must be pre-booked online in advance.
